How does a site get listed in DMOZ?
« on: July 19, 2009, 04:21:35 am »
I have read various articles about how DMOZ no longer matters, or how you should become an editor if you want to have a site added. Has anyone had a site successfully added into their directory? How did you go about it?

Choose appropriate category and sub category for your site. i am sure you can add your site in dmoz.org lisiting. If you got the Backlinks means Google consider as Good Quality Backlinks. I already added in this Dmoz.org lisiting.

Non-original content quoted from another site you must have. Other than that your site does not have any problem must be constantly online

submission is straight forward and automatic. once you submit your information, it will get included into the directory. I do believe it takes a long time tho! it's a free service and I think they do some manual review of the listing submission. Because you don't pay for the service, its voluntary and takes forever.

But your submission should be accepted and included, with no problem. Do an annual check to make sure the info is up do tate, and if changes are requried you can explore the "contact us" option.
